This quiet, peaceful animal lives in Port Alberni, here on Vancouver Island. Although alpaca are indigenous to the high Andes of Peru, Bolivia and Chile, Gucci is one of many alpacas being raised right here in Canada for his exquisite coat which is as soft, silky and fine as cashmere, yet warm and strong. The insulating quality of Alpaca is eight times that of sheep’s wool. The organic alpaca wool is naturally porous and will not harbor dust mites or mold.
